How smart film works
One touch, clear to frosted.
Smart film is an electrically switchable film applied to the glass. When power is on, the film is clear. When power is off, it turns frosted and blocks views into the room while still letting light through. A small controller lets you switch the film with a wall switch or remote.
No blinds or curtains
Cleaner sightlines, less upkeep, and nothing hanging in the glass to damage.
Daylight stays
Frosted mode still lets light through, so the room stays bright while it's private.

Is smart film the same as frosted film?
Standard frosted film is always frosted. Smart film switches between clear and frosted, so you choose when you want privacy.
What happens if the power goes out?
On most systems the film turns frosted when power is off, so privacy is preserved. We'll confirm the behavior of your film when we specify it.
Can it be installed on existing glass?
In many cases, yes. We check the glass type, condition and size first during the walkthrough.
How is it controlled?
By a wall switch or remote. We plan the controls with you so switching is simple for the people who use the room.
